Only if they have a pre-existant illness like heart/lung problems etc.
2 :
As someone that must undergo TB testing annually - its not likely that a treated person die of TB when caught early. Early being 6-12 months of infection. There are people with latent TB (not sick but has the germs in their body) and those with active TB. The latent patients must take a drug that will hinder the infection for taking place, while the active TB patient must take and finish their year's dose, otherwise the TB is likely to mutate, spread and become resistant to the antibiotics. This fact sheet tells your exactly how many people died: http://www.cdc.gov/tb/publications/factsheets/statistics/TBTrends.htm Treatment helps and there are few that die result of a early treatment.
3 :
if the treatment start early don't think so,but only if the person has other diseases , we have to think of side effects of the drugs used in treatment as if the patient has liver problems

well if tuberculosis had spread to your chest and lungs, that's not good. Medication is highly effective when TB has not spread to the chest cavity. I'm not sure what happens once your chest is affected. Be sure to take you medication REGULARLY though. Stopping for a few days and then taking medication again is very dangerous because it can create resistance in the bacteria that causes TB and once resistant bacteria is created, it is extremely difficult to find a cure. It's either you eliminate ALL the bacteria in one shot or you don't. So take you medication the way your doctor instructed you to do so.
2 :
stay visible
3 :
There is always gonna be a scar, the doctor who reads the x-ray will be able to see if there is something active or not. Plus, skin tests will now always be positive, so he'll be getting chest x-rays whenever a tb test is neccesary

I heard it was supposed to take a year of meds to get rid of it. If not taken as directed, you will just make it a stronger because it wasn't completely killed. The scarring on the lungs will probably always be there , he should have asked his Dr, that question

What does a positive PPD test for tuberculosis look like?

It will be raised and red. After 48-72 hours (I think it's OK if it gets a bit swollen before that) Doctors check it by feel though. I think if it's flat it's generally negative.

~_~ Hey Addy-- The test area will generally get a raised lil'bumpy, and sometimes odd color look to it. The doctor or clinic should give you a lil'card to compare your tested area. It will vary from Negative to Carrier to Positive. It will need you're attention for approx. 2-3 days. If you show in the Carrier to Positive range, you will need to return for further information or treatment. I might be wrong, but I think it is a genetic thing. The web sight WEB M.D. will have tons of information on it for you. (sorry, I don't know how to do that lil'blue "click here" thingy) You have a Really Good Day. K? I Hope You Test Neg. But carrier isn't Too much a worry. K? Bye Bye

The chromosome of Mycobacterium tuberculosis is 4,411,529 bp (base pairs) long. A scientist who isolates and counts the number of nucleotides in its DNA molecules discovers that there are 2,893,963 molecules of guanine. How many molecules of each of the other three nucleotides are there in the original DNA?

C = G cytosine - 2,893,963 Adenine = thymine = (Total bases - (C+G))/2 = ((2x 4,411,529) - (2 x 2,893,963))/2 = 1,517,566 G= 2,893,963 C= 2,893,963 A= 1,517,566 T= 1,517,566
