A biopsy in the neck will mean your doctor is checking for SCROFULA. Scrofula is the term used for tuberculosis of the neck, or, more precisely, a cervical tuberculous lymphadenopathy. The link I have provided tells the past history of scrofula and how it is diagnosed today. If you scroll down the page you will see a slide show that uses images and well as text to describe the disease. Hope you find it useful

they inject some fluid jsut under youre skin in piches alittle but not much nad then look at it the next day
2 :
It's not a big deal at all! You go in and they'll put a tiny needle just under the skin and inject a tiny bit of fluid which will leave a lil bump. Then you'll go back in 2 days to have it checked out. If you don't go back you'll need to do it again. If the bump is gone your good to go If not then you'll need some chest x-rays and nine months of taking a medication to treat it. Sorry! Anyways you'll be fine my 6 year old got through it. Hope that helps. Good Luck!!!!!
3 :
you go in, they get the smallest needle you can imagine and use it to inject a small amount of fluid right under the top layer of your skin. it's normally on the underside of one of your forearms (we use the left) and it has to be checked in 48-72 hours. what to expect? a little pinch. shouldn't burn, it could bleed but not much. at first it will look like a blister under the skin, but it will go down.. just don't mess with it

One is exposing yourself to somebody with it
2 :
First to understand the definition__ Relapse is defined as previously treated cases of pulmonary tuberculosis and been declared cured or treatment completed, and is diagnosed with bacteriologically positive (smear or culture) tuberculosis. Frequency of relapse is related to severity of disease at the time of start of initial treatment, high fever, persistently high ESR, multiple cavitations have higher relapse rates. Most common cause of relapse is inadequate treatment ( in terms of prescribed drug quality, amount, combination & total duration of therapy OR poor patient compliance ) Other causes are__ -Multidrug resistant strain of mycobacterium tuberculosis -Assosciated HIV infection -Old age & associated diseases -Smoking, Alcohol -Poverty and unhygeinic living conditions

what is dead tuberculosis? Is this dangerouus & infectious

what is dead tuberculosis? Is this dangerouus & infectious?
is this similat to normal tuberculosis caused by M.tuberculosis or its more dangerous?

I would ask your Dr.
2 :
dead tuberculosis is just as it sounds, teberculosis bacteria that is now dead, inactive. Tuberculosis in its 'alive' state is very dangerous, however dead tuberculosis is used medically for various reasons usually to test to see if you have tuberculosis. aka a TB shot.
3 :
untreated secondary tuberculosis can also be fatal, but the health of the person who has it usually deteriorates quite slowly. Even with successful treatment infected organs may be left with severe damage. They may then spread to the nearest lymph nodes

NO! whats wrong with you?!
2 :
Don't be daft the drugs for TB will save your life. Sounds like you want to destroy it.
3 :
Why are you worried about this? Obviously you don't really care about your medical condition if you still want to do drugs. What's the point of taking the med's -- oh yeah, to heal you and free you from the tuberculosis, which can kill you by the way. And so can the drugs.
4 :
You shouldn't be taking street drugs period. Why would you even consider taking such poison while trying to cure your TB? Dumb

What is Tuberculosis? Simplified

What is Tuberculosis? Simplified?
Alright, so I am doing a school project on Lord Durham. I have most of my research done, but the only thing that is not clear is his death. He died of Tuberculosis and I have no idea what that is and if my teachers ask me, I want to be able to answer. So I need to know what Tuberculosis in a form of what a schoolboy would understand. Thanks!

disease caused by Mycobacterium Tuberculosim........a bacteria that is transmissable in coughs and air drops...................very hard to treat, but, new drugs work....9 months meds............usually settles in the lungs when bacteria is inhaled...............more common in other countries, although it is in america......when exposed the body fights it and walls it off in the lungs, sort of a fence-in effect......sometimes if body is worn down can spread to other lung and entire body causing death...................so,it is very old disease that is still around and contagious.............if suspect ya have it,nurse would do a skin test, ppd, and xray to determine if ya have it.......contacts of a positive person are usually treated as precaution....................,
