through direct exposer from an infected person. This could be couphing sneezing swapping saliva, etc. If you know somebody with this then what im trying to say is stay the fuck away from them. If your infected then go to a doctor and have minaml contact with others.
2 :
You mean tuberculosis lymphadenitis, an inflammation of the lymph glands caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. It is a TB that is outside the lungs. TB is primarily a respiratory disease and is spread through droplet infection (sneezing, coughing). If you belive you have been exposed to an active case, you will need to see your doctor for a Mantoux test (sometimes called a PPD). It's a skin test using a purified protein derivative (PPD) with the results read 48-72 hours later. If you are the one with TBL, and I certainly hope you're not, you should be on a medication "cocktail" and in isolation (hopefully in a negative pressure room in a hospital

Well TB is an airborne disease. If he had it the hospital would put him in isolation. Most people dont have a problem with this because they do not want to make other people sick. It sounds like it wasn't explained to him?
2 :
YES....TB is considered an extremely contagious disease and the CDC has the authority to "compel confinement" of anyone DIAGNOSED with TB as a risk to public health. However, if there is not a positive diagnosis, then there can be no compelled confinement.
3 :
Yes, if a person is hospitalized for TB they are put into a negative pressure room. This is a room that is completely vented to the ouside and the air in the room is unable to get to the other patients in the hospital. Caregivers are gowned, gloved and wear mask to inhibit transmission. All waste are put in special bags that are disposed of in a manner different then regular trash. When they go for test there are precautions that must be taken. I think that the CDC can demand that he be confined until he has been treated. He would be considered a danger to others. I have never seen someone like this want to leave and refuse care.

yes you can if you have active tb. if it is inactive but you test positave for it then you can be out with population

Not without treatment. People can have tuberculosis for years without having any symptoms, even though the infection may be active and causing lung damage

i just had to go get one for my job today. they used a needle, and on the underside of my forearm. kinda stings, but not that bad. and afterwards it left this weird looking bump. but thats probably because the nurse didnt know what she was doing. anyway,.... hope this helps
2 :
An injection on the arm. Then after a few days, that site is check to see if you have had a positive or negative reaction. It is a very easy test. Nothing to worry about. Just a little poke. Doesn't hurt at all.
3 :
If you are getting a test to see if you are positive for TB it will be a skin test on the under part of the forearm. To COLBY M.. the test is suppose to leave a (BUMP) or a wheel like that.. it has nothing todo with the nurse not know what she is doing. If you are already + or you have tested + for TB in the pass you will have to have a Chest X-ray
4 :
A PPD test is one method used for detecting tuberculosis. The protein derivative is injected underneath the top layer of skin on the inner forearm. In 3-5 days, it should be checked by a healthcare provider to see if there was any swelling at the injection site. If there is a raised bump, it is measured (in millimeters). Depending on the size of the bump, you may or may not be positive for tuberculosis. There are certain cutoffs for the measurements depending on your preexisting medical conditions and past medical history, so a bump does not necessarily mean that you have tuberculosis
