How is it possible that the gentleman from Atlanta with tuberculosis didn't infect anyone, inlcuding his wife
He has what's know as Extremely Drug-resistent tuberculosis (or XDR-TB) which is highly contagious, yet no one that was on any one of his several airline flights nor his wife have tested positive.

even when exposed to TB there is a certain amount of time needed for the body to develop antibodies so as to test postitive...just testing negative so soon is not proof that they have not acquired the bacteria for the TB...he claims that his TB was not infectious at the time... I don't know that they have tested anyone involved yet...I have not heard of it..

He was contagious at the time he was flying. That is why the CDC was tracking down people on the flight to get them tested. It is not that his type of TB is more contagious than regular TB, it is that the drugs won't work against it. If a patient with a compromised immune system gets it (HIV, organ transplant, or oncology patients) they are as good as dead
