I've never had it before and I'm terribly afraid of needles and shots. I've heard that it's nothing like a shot and it feels like a mosquito bite [which you normally DONT feel]. However I know that it is going to be administerd from a needle. Can someone give me some advice please, I'm freaking out, Thanks!

its a very tiny pinprick just like a mosquito bite --it doesn't hurt anything like a regular shot at all --don't worry relax and don't look lol

VERY thin needle, just under the skin, and a small bump, just like a mosquito bite. When done correctly, its fast and painless. Much easier than a deep muscle shot. Relax

No it does not hurt. In this test, a small quantity of tuberculin is injected just beneath the skin. The more painful part is the mental worry should there be a redness or swelling after 48 hours!

The sensitivity and the specificity of the test depend upon many variables, and false negative results are common.-
