If you kiss someone who has TB (tuberculosis) can you get the virus as well?

Tb is a bacteria, not a virus. I would say that is possible, but not likely. Unless they are actively coughing up phlegm, they probably aren't releasing many bacteria. Still, the infectious dose is very, very low. Most people infected with Tb never have symptoms or develop any disease for their entire lives

What does IgM Ab to M.TUBERCULOSIS 350 U/ml : Positive imply? Relation of this to Smoking and Drinking?
I have just got a blood test done and the above results have come. Also Vandenberg Reaction: Negative. How serious is this and what are the basic precautions to be taken?

It means you've got TB and it is active, probably due to your smoking and drinking depressing your immune system

how can you differentiate COPD from tuberculosis by looking at their x-ray results

how can you differentiate COPD from tuberculosis by looking at their x-ray results?

Yes.
2 :
COPD usually shows up on chest x-ray as hyperinfalted lungs (more black on the film). Depending on the severity, the diaphragms may look flattened and the front to back diameter may enlarge ( barrel chest). TB will usually show up as a granuloma (white fluffy ball) on the film) and is often seen in the apex (top of the lung field). Just because a patient has COPD does not mean they have a lung tumor, nor does it mean they have TB. Likewise, a person can have a granuloma and it it is not TB or is not active. Either way, a person can have one, both or neither.

if you are going to be a doctor, you will learn that, but if you are a regular joe, you dont need to know, your doctor will figure that out! thats why you are insured

Just to be on the safe side....I would!!
2 :
Yes. It's a simple test. Most worker's in the medical field have to get tested once a year. Plus, the earlier the detection the easier to treat.
3 :
They simply omitted you by mistake. You should get tested.
4 :
it is a quick and painless test i would get one if you have any concerns about it
5 :
This is because TB is not an airborne bacteria and is rather spread by respiratory droplets. Therefore there has to be a large exposure to the person who was effected to effectively get infected. I do not know have a had a BCG vaccination as this decreases the chances of anyone getting TB. Don't worry for know. However if your cousin tests positive for TB, you should get it checked out

how do we determine pancreatic tuberculosis

actually,i think that anyone who suffers from pancreatic tuberculosis will spit blood because of the ellipse of vitamins
2 :
i would say an mri. maybe broncho scope too.

When tuberculosis manages to get into the pancreas, the patient will show several symptoms, including abdominal epigastric pains, weight loss, and low-grade fevers. Because of this symptomology and the presence of a pancreatic mass, pancreatic tuberculosis is often misdiagnosed as pancreatic cancer. To correctly diagnose the TB infection, a PPD skin-test can help but is not definitive (apparently the TB PPD test has a 10-25% false-negative rate). Unfortunately, CT scans and radiologic imaging offer little help. The most effective methods for confirming the presence of pancreatic tuberculosis are cytologic diagnoses. This involves removal of a portion of the pancreatic mass (generally by fine needle aspiration) and analyzing it for evidence of bacterial infection and evidence of the tuberculosis bacterium itself

2 :
Tuberculosis (TB) is a bacterial infection.. Cancer is a disease of the genes. A malignant tumor or neoplasm characterized by the proliferation of anaplastic cells that tend to invade surrounding tissue and metastasize to new body sites.
3 :
Tuberculosis is an infectious, non-malignant disease of the lungs caused by the microbial agent Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Lung cancer is a malignant, invasive growth of the lung tissues with a tendency to spread [metastasize] to distant organs. The main culprit is smoking, though exposure to secondhand smoke and asbestos can also trigger it
